The Captain's Meeting

Traditional Route
The mandatory Captain’s Meeting will occur in the parking lot near the public boat ramps on the north side of the main channel into Port Mansfield at 7am on Sunday morning.

The "Hard Way" Route
Our mandatory Captain’s Meeting will occur on the beach at Magnolia Beach, next to the public restroom building, at 7am on Sunday morning.
The Captain's Meeting is required for ALL Captains. Having crew there is a good idea, but not required unless they have not filled out a release (available for download HERE - print out and sign, then turn it in at the Captain's Meeting). EVERYONE participating in this event MUST turn in a signed release. Minors must have a release signed by a parent or legal guardian. There will be blank releases available for anyone who forgets to print and bring one.

We will hand out burgees to those who bought them and will have a few short announcements. Before 8AM we will head out to the finish line, where we will board our shuttle bus.

Truck/Trailer parking will again be at the JT One Stop
(514 Margie Tewmey Road, Port Lavaca, TX 77979)

The bus leaves to head back to the starting line at 2PM - DO NOT BE LATE!

 Emergency Numbers

The default number for any real emergency is 911
Use the local fishermen and boaters for assistance if you can. They will often help and will likely cost a lot less or not at all. Salvage of abandoned boats is a strange area of the law so beware.
